Melrose House

Situated close to the city centre in a private and spacious garden, the House displays characteristic Victorian grandeur with polished native rimu timber floors, high ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Its classic features include deeply moulded sash windows and fire surrounds as well as ornate balustrading on the timber staircase.

The main Drawing Room works well for meetings, presentations or for the wedding reception. This leaves the Parlour for small break out groups, a smaller presentation or meeting, or for catering. Upstairs boasts two more spaces, The Boardroom and The Library. The ornate boardroom table seats 12  with room for additional tables and/or seating in alcove. Next door is the intimate Library which seats up to 6 people, with additional space for tables and/or seating. Hire the Boardroom and Library together to facilitate breakout sessions and have the first floor all to yourself.

Catering is provided exclusively by the Melrose Cafe and is an additional cost.
